65Mn spring steel is a high-carbon, manganese alloy steel known for its excellent strength, hardness, toughness, and wear resistance, making it ideal for various springs (flat, round, valve), spring clips, clockwork parts, and small machinery components.

Its composition (around 0.62-0.70% Carbon, 0.90-1.20% Manganese) and response to heat treatment (quenching and tempering) allow for high performance in demanding applications requiring durability and flexibility, often compared to AISI 1065 or JIS SUP6.

65Mn Steel Strip is a spring steel conforming to GB/T 1222-2016 standard. Its density is 7.85 g/cm³. This material possesses high strength and flexibility after heat treatment and cold drawing hardening, but due to its poor hardenability, it is mainly suitable for manufacturing pressure regulating and speed regulating springs, force measuring springs, and small mechanical helical springs.

Its chemical composition contains 0.62%–0.70% carbon and 0.90%–1.20% manganese. Its tensile strength reaches 735 MPa, yield strength is 430 MPa, and hot-rolled hardness is 240–270 HB.

65Mn is heat-treated using an oil quenching process at 830℃±20℃ and a tempering process at 540℃±50℃. After heat treatment, its microstructure is tempered troostite.

Besides helical springs and spring washers with diameters of 7-20mm, it can also be used in the machining of high-wear-resistant parts, such as grinding machine spindles and precision machine tool lead screws.
