Galvanized steel strip is a long, narrow sheet of steel coated with zinc to prevent corrosion. The zinc coating, applied through a process called hot-dip galvanizing, protects the underlying steel by acting as a sacrificial barrier, and forms a durable zinc-iron alloy layer for enhanced resistance.

Hot dipped galvanized steel strips are used in various applications like construction, automotive parts, and appliances, and are available in different base metals (hot-rolled or cold-rolled) and sizes. 

Galvanized Steel Strip is a hot-dipped coated metal that provides customers with better resistance to corrosive environments.

To create gegalvaniseerd staal, cold rolled steel is submerged into a molten zinc bath, known as the hot-dip process (galvanization can also be achieved through continuous galvanizing). When the material is removed from the zinc bath and cooled a reaction to the oxygen in the air occurs. The reaction causes the zinc coating to become part of the steel creating the well-recognized spangled finish.
